Prashanth Manoj Appuswamy

Meet our Principal Contributor

Prashanth Manoj Appuswamy is an experienced professional with a heart for God, a passion for people, and a commitment to excellence. His desire to share his life experiences and faith journey with the wider world [during his free time] has led to the launch of Quiet Waters, a voluntary ministerial endeavour, endowed with the motto “Veni, Sancte Spiritus”, which in Latin means “Come, Holy Spirit”.

Academic and Professional Journey

During his school days in Ooty, India, Prashanth accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour. He believes that this is the most important decision he has made in his life, which opened him the door of grace embedded with forgiveness and eternity. The gracious Lord enabled him, an average student, to earn two post-graduate degrees thereafter – one in software engineering and the other in business administration. He is an alumnus of the University of Nottingham in England and the Karunya University in Coimbatore. He is also pursuing a diploma program at the United Theological College (UTC) in Bangalore. Over the past 18 years, the Lord enabled him to build a career in the corporate world, spanning leading multinational companies in India and the UK. In 2011, G4S Integrated Services in the UK recognized him with an “Employee of the Year” award for ‘Corporate Development’.

Personal Life and Ministry Experience

Prashanth’s family includes his father, Dr. K. C. Appuswamy (Veterinary Surgeon), mother Mrs. Sheela Appuswamy (Nursing Superintendent), and younger brother Aravinth (Entrepreneur). In 2012, Prashanth married Dr. Vinaya Samuel, a dentist, and they have a dear son, Prajwal Chris. At college, he met his spiritual mentor, Prof. Aldrin Karunaharan, an authentic prophet of the Holy Spirit, who sowed the seeds of his future ministry (Quiet Waters) two decades ago. During weekends in the UK between 2010-2012, Prashanth attended the British Methodist Church at Broadway in the Cotswolds. This is where he was officially trained as a local (lay) preacher with the wholehearted support of the church leaders there. In 2024, Prashanth released his first book, “Ethical Leadership in the Corridors of Faith”, an authorized biography of a leading figure in the Church of South India (CSI), Bishop Timothy Ravinder, who is current and sixth Bishop of the Coimbatore Diocese. Prashanth also supports the Great Commission in India (GCI) ministries, which is led by Rev. Lakshminarayan, a former captain of the Indian Army. Prashanth engages with all Bible-believing churches and ministries with equal regard. He also has a healthy respect for people of other faiths and no faith – after all, we are all the handiwork of One Great Creator!
